CEDAR RAPIDS, IA — The Mid-Am Racing Series made its third stop of the 2026 season at Hawkeye Downs for the Clubfoot Solutions 30, where another exciting afternoon of racing produced another first-time winner.

When the official results were finalized, Marqus Hoover earned his first career Mid-Am Racing Series victory, becoming the third different winner through the first three races of the 2026 season. Hoover's consistent performance throughout the afternoon put him in position to capitalize and add his name to the Mid-Am record books.

The evening began with a tightly contested qualifying session, as defending series champion Scotty Gardner Jr. claimed fast-time honors ahead of Matt Lee, Daniel Calhoun, Josh Nelms, and Kellen Arnold. The close qualifying session set the tone for a highly competitive afternoon.

Heat race victories went to Shane Sapp, Josh Nelms, and Cameron Vandermeir, with each driver carrying momentum into the feature.

An inverted starting lineup created plenty of passing opportunities, and the 30-lap main event featured close racing throughout the field. Hoover positioned himself near the front early and remained in contention from start to finish.

Following post-race technical inspection, the original feature winner was disqualified, making Hoover the official winner. Kellen Arnold III was credited with the runner-up finish, while Jeremiah Senko completed the podium.

The victory continues what has been an incredibly balanced start to the 2026 season, with three different winners emerging through the first three Mid-Am events. Hoover's first career Mid-Am victory is a testament to the competitiveness of the series and the determination of his team.

The Mid-Am Racing Series extends its sincere appreciation to Brian Gibson and the entire staff at Hawkeye Downs for their hospitality and for hosting another outstanding event. Special thanks also go to Cheryl Hryn and Kevin Anderson for their tireless work behind the scenes in helping ensure another successful race weekend.
