PLYMOUTH, IN — Kevin Murphy added another chapter to his Mid-Am Racing Series resume Friday night, capturing the Clubfoot Solutions 30 at Plymouth Motor Speedway.
Murphy held off a strong field of Mid-Am competitors over 50 laps to secure his first victory of the 2026 season and continue what is shaping up to be one of the most competitive championship battles in recent years.
The evening began with a tightly contested qualifying session. Cody Clubb earned fast-time honors with a lap of 14.444 seconds, narrowly edging Kellen Arnold III, Josh Nelms, Dan Calhoun, and Jeremiah Senko. Just .127 seconds separated the top five drivers.
Heat race victories went to Tim Stewart, Rick Redig-Tackman, and Andrew Meyerhofer.
When the green flag waved for the 50-lap feature, Murphy quickly established himself as one of the drivers to beat. While several contenders challenged throughout the event, Murphy maintained control and crossed the finish line .374 seconds ahead of Kellen Arnold III.
Arnold's runner-up finish marked one of the strongest Mid-Am performances of his career and continued an impressive start to the 2026 season. Dan Calhoun completed the podium in third after another consistent performance.
Fresh off his first career Mid-Am victory in the Gary Vercauteren Memorial just one week earlier, Cameron Vandermeir continued his momentum with a fourth-place finish. Fast qualifier Cody Clubb rounded out the top five.
The victory makes Murphy the third different winner in the first three Mid-Am Racing Series events of 2026, highlighting the depth of talent throughout the field.
